New Poll. This week's question is:

What is the approximate direct daily operating cost for a typical jackup in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico (excl. costs of capital)? This is the cost to the drilling contractor, and not the oil company who is chartering the rig.

Results next Saturday.

Far from being an expert on Japanese politics...
doesn't it stand to reason that the next Prime Minister would
sortof...grasp the concept...that some changes are indeed in order.

The election results appear to be a dictate from the people that less foot dragging and more action is what they want (and need) to stimulate the economy.

With the slow motion changes that were being announced and "talked" about, perhaps the next PM would be more inclined to actually start stimulating the economy with actions instead of words.

This might be a blessing in disquise. The pace of change might actually be getting a swift kick where it will do the most good.

Just My Thoughts
