Hi Neal,

Your concerns about AOL being locked out of higher speed
access are valid.

However a quote from the UsaToday article:
"Still, analyst Paul Noglows of Hambrecht & Quist thinks fast networks such as AT&T's ultimately will court AOL. "

I still think that AOL has a very unique synergy with it's sense of "community".

I agree totally that they will have to continue to bust their asses
to keep ahead of the competiiton. The moment AOL rests on
it's laurels, as with any company, it's a dead duck. I think if
AOL recognizes these issues and acts to nip them in the bud,
it will remain one of the premier "networks" on the internet and
get even bigger. A big "if".
