Bruce... You are not entirely right. I use ECN's everyday. When I use island (isld) I have to post the size of my order. Same with Attain, Bloomberg. The only ECN that does not have to post is INCA. So when you see INCA it can be a big order. I do not use INCA because they are too expensive.However, I will use them if I absolutely have to. The institutional guys use inca almost exclusively so when you see the other ecn's they are usually 1000 share day traders. Inca has been on the offer of Tava for sometime now and it makes me nervous. I still give the edge to the bears at present.
