alien,

Whatever it takes to justify their short positions.

Did you ever wonder why Olsziewski set a target of $20.00 within 12
months and Fayemi set a target of $23.00 by years end?

These guys know more about what goes on at Vivus than we would ever hope to know including who might buy out or partner with them.

Notice how in the cc Olsziewski only asked about gene therapy and nothing else--especially nothing regarding international orders or specific cost reductions with the new plant let alone info on a partner or a buy out? He probably already knows about these more important issues so he asks only one question that doesn't have much to do with the situation at hand. So far the info he presented supporting his upgrade has been 100% on target.

The shorts on the other hand foolishly threw a lot of money at Vivus last Friday via BEST and now must do what it takes to bring the price lower if they can. Come Monday let's look carefully at the level II screen and see who is selling and who is buying and how much hiding there is behind INCA ISLD or some of the other separate go it anonymous system. It should be interesting to say the least.

Alien <<Have you noticed the sudden change of tactics now? >>

AL: I always smile when I read posts that imply that these investment boards actually influence the price of a stock or everyone who does not have a long position must have some devious strategy to short a stock.

Knowledge is power!

It has impressed me too that what the shorts are really doing is trying to use fear tactics to drive out investors.
