Greetings and thanks Z for starting this thread, Kudos to the French team they stopped Rivaldo and Ronaldo by not letting them get any running space with the ball-this is harder than it sounds, but they were right on these guys whenever they got the ball. And they let Denilson get running space without going for the cross-over move. In my opinion, the final is about emotion and desire-the French had much more than the Brasilians. So the better team won and they deserve the glory. They were the best team of the 98 WC-because they played better, not because of luck, referee, wind, sun, dives, bigger goal posts, or whatever silly excuses.
