I've been a lurker on this thread for quite a while now and just couldn't hold back any longer! When I see posts like this one from rjbac; ..."I will also make sure to keep posting just because they don't want to hear another opinion. One that is based completely on the facts." I just want to laugh! Actually I find quite a few of the posts on the subject of MINE quite funny. Both the pro and anti side of things have given me some moments of fury and some moments of humor. I don't mean to insult anyone here, quite the opposite. I enjoy reading the various aspects of this company; whether there is gold in Bolivia, whether this whole thing is a scam or not, etc., etc. I guess when you invest in speculative stocks you must then speculate on the information that you have or do not have. Just for the record, I do not own any MINE stock. I may in the future. The reason I don't own it now however is NOT because of the risk of the investment. I believe in the law of "Risk vs Rewards"...the higher the risk, the greater potential for rewards. What I would like to say though, is this: 1) Anyone who thinks that the SEC is involved in GE to protect investors probably thinks the IRS is their friend too. "We're from the Federal Government and we're here to help you!" Har-Har! SEC accusations against Knittle, Erickson, Turner, et-al, doesn't mean that the basic claims of GE are not valid. 2) If you doubt if there is gold in Bolivia you need only go to the library and read a little on the conquering of the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors. There is no dispute as to "if" there is gold there, only "how much". 3) I think it's great to have opposing points of view on a message thread is great. If anyone or anything can't stand up to the scrutiny, then it's probably not true. What I can't stand though is the claim by some that they are armed with "Facts", therefor they are right. The problem with this attitude is simply that the "Facts" they have are either false, hearsay, or twisted. Just because some on here are enthusiastic about the potential of GE, doesn't mean they are ignorant of the problems GE faces. Sure, there are some who may be oblivious to this fact. On the other hand, because one is skeptical of GE doesn't mean that he is armed with any better knowledge or understanding of the truth! Don't believe everything you read (or hear)! Thanks for listening. Maybe I'll spout off more later:)
