BB,

Any reasons for believing that this will be the final Capitulation?

Any stats I've seen indicate that capacity utilization continues to fall rapidly. Chipmakers in Japan, Korea, etc. have no money and practically no ability to raise money. Most are not profitable.

The trend is getting worse not better. Is there any reason that we should believe that the down trend in this cycle won't continue for a few more quarters? Is Korea going to all of a sudden decide that if it gives up all its market share, that the industry will again prosper. Therefore the Koreans (substitute country of your choice) will fall on their sword for the overall good of the remainder of the industry? Not likely!

Just curious,
Ian.
