Hi Doug. Aerospace and Defense stocks are attractive for several reasons.
* We're seeing good earnings numbers and increasing backlogs.
* There's consolidation in the industry.
* The cancellation and/or delay of orders from Asia was first perceived as a negative, but it is now being viewed as a positive.
The industry could not meet the worldwide demand prior to Asia's problems. As Asia recovers, they will keep the sector hopping in the future.
* DOD contracts will be awarded in the fall - the start of the fiscal year for our Govt.
* Many of the Aerospace and Defense companies have been able to diversify their product offerings and have penetrated new markets offering higher profit margins.
* Increasing demand for business jets, increased worldwide air travel,
increased demand for service and repair.

Here's a list of some other stocks in this sector with attractive charts.
ATPX may not qualify on the chart but I own it and included it in the list.
