No didn't see it.Man made building materials, such as pressed beams, etc are becoming real popular and the price has come down.Watched a show about building a deck out of material made from the plastic bags from the grocery store-pretty neat,no mantainence. There are a number of companies in Vt. specializing in straw bale homes.High insulation factor, reasonable cost, and last about 100 years. Plus all the twig and nut eating crowd, with the tie dyed tee-shirts love'm<g>DD

My bitter-half (RBG) did the same.
Went to Earth Haven an herbal/vegitarian/back to nature- community yesterday and they had a house made from straw. Each bale was treated and compressed. These must be different from HDTV.
Interesting place back in the Pisgah National Forrest area. Had solar this and that. Water for lots of things. Made houses from Pine slab off-fall and were in great shape. Bout to lose my Mitsubishi when I had to cross 3 creeks to go in to their town. Had the Yurts, Mud houses, Bern/soil constructions and all.
Reminded me of camping in the rough. My old bones couldn't make it up those hills. Have to find a burro! The Mitz. just would not climb after I flooded it with water. Maybe ROSARIO would parachute me in like I was a firefighter! Wonder if his chutes open?
You got cars out your way or burros?
