Think about it. I mean, until @Home is as big as AOL, it almost doesn't make sense NOT to get AOL's and others money. Even if @Home had 50 percent and AOL had the other 50 percent, AT&T will still want AOL's money. Certainly at 8 percent market share for @Home, AT&T will want it; at 20 percent it'll want it; at 30 percent it'll want it; and so on. Of course, it might be wise for AT&T to put all its emphasis on competing with AOL and others and NOT allow access. But, then they would have to lose a lot of money on this sector in the short run (over the next 3-5 years) and give up revenue from others who want to resell cable access. I just don't see AT&T making that choice.>>
