WESTFORT ENERGY, LTD. - PROGRESS REPORT JOHNNY RHODES 7-6 NO. 1 WELL - PELAHATCHIE DEEP UNIT 18-4 NO. 1 WELL

JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI, July 10 /CNW/ - Westfort Energy Ltd., symbol WT on
the Toronto Stock Exchange announced that it has reached total depth of
11,800' on the Johnny Rhodes 7-6 No. 1 Well in the Pelahatchie Field. Numerous
oil zones were logged and sidewall cored. Election to set pipe for completion
has been made. More details will be forthcoming after final analysis of the
Schlumberger logs and a detailed lab analysis of the cores has been received.
The Pelahatchie Deep Unit 18-4 No. 1 Well, currently being drilled in the
same field, has reached a depth of 16,300'. Smackover gas shows have been
encountered. The hole is presently being conditioned to allow continued
drilling through the rest of the Smackover zones and into the Norphlet zone,
which is expected to be encountered at approximately 17,100'.

Hi rampage, price wise it looks like another make it or break it day for our short term trend. Both the daily hi lo close chart and the closing price chart shows the price sitting right on the trend line. We need an up day, a move above 2.35 to 2.40 would be nice as this would be a break out and a move below 2.19 would mean short term support is broken.

Hi Rampage:
Today's price movement can't really be interpreted as a decisive break of short term support. Although 2.10 did penetrate the trend line, it rallied up to 2.32 and ended the day with a borderline close of 2.20, this does not confirm a break of short term support. A close of 2.10 or even 2.15 would have been more decisive. I belive today was just a minor shake out and hopefully we'll get confirmation of this tomorrow.
