Just back from a vacation at the beach... How about you? Handling taxes is a potential nightmare with an automated system that could potentially do dozens of trades each day. As you said, handling taxes can be quite time consuming for any active daytrader making 10 to 50+ trades per day. For our automated platform, we will be incorporating a feature that will enable easy transfer of the buy/sell information into Quicken. From there, taxes will be simplified by using the export feature in TurboTax to bring in all of the trading data without a keypunching nightmare. By the way, how is the system coming along? Not that it's any of our business, but will you be posting any results? Our trading platform is progressing very well. We have made dozens of automated trades for our own account and are still on track to begin our beta test for other daytraders before the end of August. Around that time, I will be creating another thread dedicated to discussion about automated daytrading in general, and our platform specifically. I hope this thread will give our beta testers ample opportunity to provide feedback to others about the strengths/weaknesses of our platform and provide suggestions to us on what they would like to see changed/improved. As a smaller firm, you can be certain that we will be giving customer service the highest priority, and I expect that will be confirmed by the comments from our beta testers.
