I really think you don't understand. There are deals that you make at a booth, that's fine. There are deals you make with the president of a country 30 days before he enters office, and you don't need a booth. There are deals you make with the State Government of Brandenburg, and you don't need a booth. And i can go on and on. DGIV is not about a booth in a fair. Suggest to you: get a life, get a brain.

If you understood the market Digitcom is pursuing, you would know that going to a trade show is basically a waste of time. You don't wait for the right customers to come to you. Instead, you fly to them, humble yourself, and play on their terms. Many US companies don't get this, but Jimmy Chin does. sandstuff

Paul: Regarding IP Telephony companies missing from the conference to which you referred: events.internet.com The following companies were NOT present either: 1. ITXC - who recently teamed up with VocalTec and Lucent: itxc.com 2. IDT (Int'l Discount Telecommunications - NASDAQ:IDTC) NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the IDT (Integrated Device Technologies) that was at the conference. 3. USA Global Link usagl.com Who recently lured Mark Baker away from his post as Chief of AT&T International: usagl.com 4. Franklin Telecommunications (BB:FTEL) 5. Nor do I see any mention of Jeff Pulver (IP Telephony Analyst) pulver.com being at this conference, nor do I ever recall him announcing at his above web site that this conference had much direct relevance to IP Telephony. So Paul, as you state ("I think DGIV is a scam" right after pointing out that they were not at this conference, subtly trying to make a connection between the 2 (nonattendance = scam) then by extension either ... a. you must consider the above 4 companies scams and the above IP analyst to not know anything about IP Telephony or b. This was the Internet Conference, it was not the IP Telephony Conference. Big Distinction! I only looked up 5 companies on your list. 4 out of those 5 were not there. So it seems perfectly acceptable to not expect Digitcom there either. Cheers Mike
