Are you trading it or a buy-and-holder? A SIer from another thread told me about a bearish article on FAMCK in Grant's Interest Rate Observer. Nothing in the article would make me sell. If Farmer Mac does nothing more than leverage the balance sheet to buy subsidized securities, it is still likely to outperform a bond fund. The Grant's criticism runs along the lines that this is the only thing FAMCK does, that it does little to do with agricultural lending and everything to do with its desire to reward its private owners. (SO...what's wrong with that???)
If you are trading, you MUST put in a limit order or you will be very sorry.
You might keep an eye on Yahoo, their posting thread seems to be more active..

DS: what's your take on the farmer now? It looks like somebody has shorted it down below the price of the cash on its balance sheet.
