Mark, a perusal of Valentine's personal description offers an email address at what I assume is his work if that helps (I don't post it here because it is semi-private - SI members only can review personal profiles). Considering how open he is with information about himself, it seems unlikely to me that he is a direct shorter. Still not sure about his motives though.
