TO ALL: For a wonderful example of how the internet can be used to push crap stocks read the following post:

Message 5166024

Most interesting: note the LARGE number of POSITIVE replies from "shareholders".

After taking a look at FTEL's stock performance, and more importantly, it's business performance (the last few 10-Qs are jokes), it's not surprising that management has plenty of time on its hands to post threatening letters on the internet; however, it does makes one wonder why the "shareholders" responding to the CEO's chest-thumping garbage would sound so happy and confident!

While the FTEL stock promotion scheme is an amateurish and bufoonish effort bordering on comedic, the stock promotion techniques employed by companies such as ZONA, ZITL, CCSI, ERGB, KRY etc. are very similar - albeit more sophisticated. Let the buyer beware.

Bill

Thanks for info. I agree in terms of business can be catalyst. My question is you indicate that INTC is a long for you. It would seem to me with the current glut in competition, high valuation of INTC, and PC's becoming more and more a commodity item that it would be difficult to support a semiconductor company at 6x sales. Also, it seems that the revenue and earnings growth for INTC have slowed over the past 4 quarters and my expectation is for more of the same. I am sure you realize all this, my last reason for disliking INTC is that as recently as this year, it was considered to be the most liked stock among the mutual funds. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks for recommendations on BGG, I tend to agree that they are going to have a difficult next few quarters.

Finally, (yes this is the message that never ends) I am evaluating Zonagen, as a possible short but wonder if if would be better to wait for their drug filing first. I see you are not enamored with Zonagen, my question is why would Schering put that kind of money into this company (57mil??) if the problems with the drug are so obvious? What am I missing ?

thanks

Bill, when does BGG report? I haven't found anything about this on the net.
