Nearly every company, big or small, in this country and most of the remainder of the world uses Microsoft products for critical business systems. It has no serious competitors. It is making major investments in speech recognition, palmtop computing, and the internet that will pay off two to five years in the future.
Can it become a trillion dollar company? Hell yes!

Today 300 billion cap is big in your mind, but 10 years from now, even one trillium
cap is pretty common, because, the population of the earth is growing every year, which means bigger base for revenues and profit. As long as the population is growing, the sky is limit for MSFT's market cap. 50 years ago, people think 1 billion is a big cap for a company, today it is 300 billion, and 50 years later is 1000000 billion.
