Sometimes there are good shorts in your own backyard and you just don't see them. My wife is working a part time locum tenans (medical field parlance for temp) at an practice locally that is part of FPA Medical (FPAM). Last week it was announced that the group will be shut down entirely in a month or two, 800+ employees including 100+ doctors. I read in today's WSJ that FPAM is closing some of their operations in other states as well. FPAM: 52 week high = 40, recent price = 7/8. quicken.excite.com Better than VVUS, better than ZITL. I am expecting more train wrecks in the physician management, managed care and related fields but I am not smart enough to see them coming. Anyone care to comment?
