Company Press Release

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE INC. AWARDS NFL FOOTBALL FRANCHISE TO FBN ASSOCIATES

SEDONA, AZ--(BIDNESS WIRE)--July 13, 1998-FBN Associates (NAZDAQ:FBNA ), the leading Y2K solutions company on the Internet, announced today that it has entered into a nonbinding letter of intent with the National Football League ("NFL'') to field a professional team for the upcoming season. The transaction makes Silicon Investor the first virtual community to be awarded one of the coveted NFL franchises.

The NFL Office of the Commissioner released the following statement:

" This is truly an historic moment for the league. In the past we've awarded franchises to ownership groups that have at least a transitory relationship with a city or region, but with the rise of the Internet and more importantly, virtual communities, the NFL is eager to seize this opportunity to increase fan loyalty without tying the franchise down to a single physical location. We have noticed the tendency for ownership groups to virtualize their relationship with sponsoring cities, this is the logical next step."

FBN Associates' retiring (but not shy) youthfully exuberant CEO, TEDennis ("Coach TED") , reached while on vacation released this statement to reporters:

"I'm proud to announce FBN Associates' NFL team will represent the Silicon Investor virtual community. The team will be called the "Bashers". For several weeks, many of our fans posting on the Internet community called Silicon Investor have been speculating on the makeup and purpose of the team. All starting positions are open for competition. Nothing is settled yet. We'll know more once training camp opens."

In a related first, Janice "The Bomb" Shell, widely believed to have the inside track for the starting Quarterback position, could become the first NFL starting female quarterback since Dan Pasterini. Widely criticized for seldom going long, she is a master of the short attach. She likes to mix it up as much as possible and seems to relish the mash-mouth style of play. It should make for an interesting season.

The choice of team mascot was finalized late yesterday and is shown in the accompanying photograph: parlorcity.com

News of these developments quickly spread throughout the Internet community known as Silicon Investor. Noted sports columnist and investigative reporter Dixe7777 writing in the latest addition of Me and UFO had this to say:

"Maybe for what it... is? Or for what it is... NOT? Old football logic has always said that a good defense is a strong offense."

To date, I have not heard any rumours that SI will be implementing the same system for "problem" posters. It's an interesting twist on the oft-requested "ignore button", though.
