Rick, >Anybody talking about $100 in a year is almost certainly in serious denial and apparently unable to deal with today's facts - more
comfortable in the fantasy world of what might be after this difficult period.< There are those of us on this who have seen the historical price action of AMAT from its low PE's to a high PE of above 50. Many of us are looking for "Gorrila" stocks who have a near monopoly in its sector. It is most agreed that AMAT fits this criteria. Most also agree that technology is here to stay in the next decade plus and until a new mousetrap comes along. I view the SEMI-capital equipment as the DNA of technology. However, I could be wrong and am willing to consider a well thoughtout critique why the sector is not the DNA of technology. With what appears to be coming down the pipe during the next decade I can not see why AMAT, as the "Gorrila", will not greatly benefit. The historians stockholders, like Lester E, and others who have followed this stock for years have given us much guidance as to the movements and their perspectives on AMAT. However, each of us must draw our own conclusions and act accordingly.

Just my opinions.
