LTCW.

Paul,

Much of LTCW's revenue growth has come from acquisitions so I don't think their revenue growth is out of the ordinary or cause for suspicion. The key is whether they can continue to grow sales without acquisitions...ie, same store sales. Still, with sales of around $120 million and even modest growth, I think they should be able to earn 50 cents next year and that would put the stock near $10 IMO. Their profit margin is very low right now but I think it's due to acquisition related expenses and that these should settle out over the next year.

I also wouldn't be surprised if they issue more stock to pay off the long term debt that they took on to buy Cellular Warehouse but I don't think they will do it with the stock near $5.

Ron: Thanks for your comments. I hope you had a nice day fishing.

VLSI.

Paul,

VLSI is quickly becoming my favorite trading buddy, especially now that DIGI is gone gg. The stock has been acting very well recently and there are persistent rumors about a takeover. I would not buy the stock because of a takeover rumor, but both the fundamentals and chart look very good. A takeover would just be a plus. They release their earnings on Wednesday after the market closes and the rumor is that they will announce an acquisition or other big news at that time. Based on how the stock has been trading, I think something is up although it could be as simple as better than expected earnings. The volume in call options has been way out of balance with the volume in put options recently so options speculators are indicating that something might be imminent as well. I'm not trying to hype the stock--just passing on what I read and see in the trade. I'm holding a rather large position in the stock so a takeover wouldn't bother me at all gg.
