Just part of the huge maze of development surrounding cdmaOne and cdma2000 which will deliver service faster and faster, better and better, cheaper and cheaper to every niche on earth. And off earth.

I don't really know, but guess that they have cute little signal repeaters which act as distant links back to 'Babe' the base station so that tunnels, underground places and all sorts can be serviced. And little valleys on the other side of a hill.

Anyone tangentially related to the telecoms business will be going like hell now to ensure they are not left stuck in the legacy systems of analog, TDMA, GSM, AMPS, PHS, DECT or whatever. So the energy and creativity behind cdmaOne and cdma2000 development will be staggering. There will be a big division in Qualcomm just managing IPR. This is not broom cupboard stuff.

Gregg, don't you think the Eudora Division should be renamed Q.com? Go on, put it to Irwin or whoever. Check q.com it is just some junk site. A bit of money should free that up. When it hits $10bn market capitalisation on a few million revenue, [probably about Dec], it could be sold off as SpinCo-2. This Spinco business is a good idea, as it forestalls Janet Reno who would go absolutely ape if the whole lot stayed under the one Qualcomm roof. It is also good for maximizing shareholder wealth.

When we can attach a few US$ to a Eudora email, encrypted and secure, it will be a very hot product.
