i read the entremed article in businessweek. Dr. Jonas ??? was nearing the end of his dream as his research funds were nearly depleted. on top of that, doctors at Harvard and others thought he was on the wrong path...and a quack besides that.

then, he obtained a 10 year, $23M contract from Monsanto to do his research. he found two chemicals that could help keep cancer tumors in check- neither destroying them nor allowing them to grow. it works amazingly well in mice and it is though that it will have a major to profound impact on treating humans...however, no one is certain as mice's vascular systems are different.

Jonas first discovered his path of research while working at Bethesda Naval Academy on Blood substitutes. He was 27 years old and made some interesting observations back in the 60s.

We are doing nothing new here at SGNC. if we have found a blood substitiute that is effacacious and safe.....we are in the $. after all, there is a lot of large pharmaceuticals looking to mass produce this stuff.
