WESTBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 1998--

Integration, Deployment and Cost Effective Management of
Windows NT Networks

Banyan Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:BNYN) today announced it has
joined the Microsoft(R) Certified Solution Provider Program. Banyan's
growing network services business will now include technical support
of Microsoft Windows NT(R) and related Microsoft enterprise server and
workstation products including Windows NT server, Windows NT
workstation and Microsoft Exchange(R).
"Banyan is pleased to become a provider of Microsoft solutions.
Providing Windows NT services are necessary as we grow our product
lines which support the Windows NT platform. Many of our customers
require multi-vendor support and expertise as they integrate their
Windows NT servers into existing networks," said Bob Burke, Banyan's
senior vice president of worldwide sales and service. "Our goal is to
enable our customers to maximize their investments in their existing

Microsoft Certified Solution Provider, Banyan has priority access to
Microsoft for any escalation issues that may be reported by customers.
"As an extension of the excellent support we have received from
