Michael: I think your attitude of not setting a schedule for FNTN to perform is a wise one. I allow myself the luxury of dreaming on occasion (ie my "just-for-fun response to Raven's question this morning). I also think you're right about the bumps being momentum plays for now. Of course, with the right announcement(s), that could all change in the blink of the proverbial eye.
In answer to the Internet site, I have no answer. By all official reports we will see the current situation change in minutes, hours (or days if something wasn't working right). We know the sites going to change. It appears to me that the sales force may be the driving force behind finding leads and closing deals. I may be wrong, but my perception of the Internet site is that it will be used as another avenue for information. Remember, the actual service will reside on Intranets and the general public will not have access to these sites. Therefore, information may reach potential clients, via telephone conversation, direct mail, trade publications, Internet, you name it.
What's most important? I don't know. I can tell you that my broker has never even been on the Internet, and yes, he's extremely successful and my portfolio is way ahead of the market and way ahead of the best performing mutual funds. If my broker is not unique, It very well could mean that we're looking at the tree and missing the forest. WE all love the INTERnet because we're on it all the time. To my knowledge (and correct me someone if I'm wrong) brokers don't use the INTERnet as standard operating equipment. Brokers may very well find out about FNTN from other media long before stumbling on it through the Internet.
Just some rambling thoughts, Michael - forgive my long-windedness,
Wally
