Another excerpt from the BW story: "So far the telcom giants' profits seem to be holding up under the onslaught. They believe they can thrive by spreading themselves out across the Continent and positioning themselves in growth markets such as Internet services and mobile communications. But they'll have to be nimble. 'The market is in very rapid evolution,' says Tommaso Pompei, CEO of Wind, a new rival to Telecom Italia. Wind, Drillisch, and a host of other phone pioneers will make sure of that."

Note that the telcom giants are trying to protect their profits by branching out into the type of business that DGIV is already nailing down. VoIP and -- if you will remember from an early release -- GSM. That means (1) DGIV is penetrating the right niche, and (2) DGIV is going to look pretty lucrative to these giants.

DGIV is one of the "pioneers" that will make sure that the telcom giants stay nimble, although the giants will first have to learn to be nimble. Remember some time back how AT&T was forcing their senior management to buy huge amounts of AT&T stock if they wanted to keep their jobs? The reason is these managers were leaving AT&T to sign up with the gazelles of the business. The telcom revolution is here. And we are the shock troops. It will be a real battle, but the winners will profit handsomely.
