jp, Just got back from the library. It's in the 100s again today and my oil drilling GLM is erupting blood instead of back gold. But the hell with it. I have the new Joan Hess ---TWO of them---one the new MAggody---and if you haven't read those-start-but for some reason I think you did---and the new Claire Malloy. So I'm in heaven. Getting under a ceiling fan with a big thermos of ice water. Texas, do your worst. Hey-almost took out a Jance--can't remmeber name---I like Paretsky too. Read the book---Good and Evil, much better. You know, I never could get all the way through the Hobbit. I thought it was dumb. I'm the only person in the whole literate world who feels that way and it's the first time I've announced it publicly. That's the confidence that comes with old age.
