Bruce, What I said, or meant to say, is that prudential will allow stocks below 4 dollars to be margined. However, They provide no release for the first 2 dollars.....ex. 5000 shares of a 4 dollar stock will require 14000 to initiate the position and as long as the value of the 5000 shares is above 10000 dollars, no maintenance is required(assuming no other positions)
