Hello and welcome to SI! FYI, I'm half tempted to email Jill and complain about the Scarlet Letter "Trial Member" denomination that is being affixed to all of the new accounts.

Bruce, What I said, or meant to say, is that prudential will allow stocks below 4 dollars to be margined. However, They provide no release for the first 2 dollars.....ex. 5000 shares of a 4 dollar stock will require 14000 to initiate the position and as long as the value of the 5000 shares is above 10000 dollars, no maintenance is required(assuming no other positions)
