My apologies, George. My original message was of a nebulous nature. I am interested in knowing, to what extent, does BPI kill gram-negative bacteria? The Schlag baboon study states that "bacteremia was significantly reduced". This is indeed encouraging but it appears BPI does not completely eradicate all the existing bacteria. Does this present an avenue for the remaining bacteria to evolve and pass on their traits, thereby possibly undermining BPI treatment? Appreciate your comments.
