I don't believe this dude wasn't suspended... I must say I agree. There are a few things I want to add; first, it appears that Dixie is actually a dudette. Secondly, I believe someone composed a little diatribe and asked her to start a new thread with it: #Subject-22003, and thirdly, I believe that the SI Overlord(s) are trying to err on the side of letting everyone post just about anything they want. I don't really disagree with that. Looking at the exchange I had with Dixie, you have to admit that accusing a giant reptile of terrible crimes is comical. She (Dixie) obviously had bad information because in "real life", I've never been to Canada, never been accused or convicted of securities fraud, and never molested children. I think Dixie knows that, and I think she was just trying to antagonize me. If she really meant it, then she is truly psychopathic, committed a crime, and that's the end of the story. For me to get into a skirmish about it, I'd have to get really pissed, and I don't have the time or the inclination to get into a big fight with a lunatic. I'd have to get into denying all this silliness, and that gets into "When were you not in Canada?" and the rest of that jazz. It's like, "When did you stop getting welfare?" I was married to a lunatic for a while, and I discovered that the main problem I had was getting sucked into her movie. If she thought I went to the moon in a green balloon, I would be forced to try and prove that I had no green balloons and had never ever had any. As a matter of fact, I am convinced that her (my ex-wife's) intention to suck me into her demented movie was the main reason she was constantly antagonizing me. Put another way, I think you have to get nuts to argue with a nut, and IMHO, it's not worth the trouble. I did respond to Dixie's post with a little flame of my own: #reply-5172026, but I did it more for a creative exercise than anything else, I really don't have much time to waste on her dream world. Dixie is fighting a battle that none of us can see. The danger lies when people like her step out over the edge. One of the ways I gauge that is if the person has a sense of humor. If you can get someone to see that they are really acting like an idiot, and they laugh and say, "Yeah, you're right.", they are probably OK. That's why I like it when somebody gets slammed on the Thread Morons thread and comes on and takes it as a joke. We've all been in that position; you have to laugh at the bonehead stuff you do sometimes. Or you really go nuts. No sense of humor and no morals= Vincent Vega. Which brings me back to Dixie. She got booted off SI and posted nasty PMs while she was booted off. Then she got back on and started the same nonsense all over again. I'm guessing that the SI Admin people are just waiting for the next outburst to boot her off permanently. In fact, I think a contest is in order. I say July 18 at 9:00 pm will be the last post we ever see from Dixie. I don't have a prize for the winner, but maybe someone can think of something. What a nut! BAWK! (2552; a palindrome! makes my day!)
