Ramsey,

Just letting my imagination run wild but is there any possibility that the Feds had a stake in seeing post election stability and a concern about panic runs on the banks in Japan? Is it possible that some intervention to prop up the yen would be seen as an appropriate prophylactic to prevent a panic should one be brewing at the thought of yet another government being formed and a further delay in any formation of policy?

Best,
Stitch
