Network for Electronic Software Distribution
Partnership Adds Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) Capabilities to
BuyComp's Online Computer Retail Store, BuySoftware.Com
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 13, 1998-- Digital River today announced an
Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) partnership with BuyComp, LLC (www.buycomp.com), a
leading Internet-only computer retail store. As a result of the partnership, BuyComp will offer its
customers, for the first time, the opportunity to purchase and download software, as opposed to
physical delivery of boxed products only, under its buysoftware.com division.
With the agreement, Digital River will provide BuyComp with access to its vast inventory of more
than 100,000 digital products. Additionally, Digital River's SSL-secured e-commerce engine will
perform credit card screening and export management for all electronically downloaded software
sales.
