I am surprise no one has mention TDFX's Banshee as a major threat to Savage 3D. It's seems to me Banshee present a more potent threat than TNT; as the two products target different section of the market. Comparatively, Banshee offers similar performance (advantage-not counting Glide support)within competitive price range.
Full disclosure: I have a small position in TDFX

Chris, Good find!! I was especially interested in the first page of the interview. Any of three...count 'em....3 board makers could have the Savage out August/September!! So much for that Pro from Dover that kept saying it would show up for consumers too late for Christmas.

Ski: I'm glad you're able to make sense out of those specs. I tried comparing the 1st one with S3 and I couldn't find anything that said I had apples & apples and oranges & oranges. Who's the Martian? S3 or the others?

Course with my high math aptitude, in order to count to eleven, I have to pull down my pants, and then my A.D.S. gets me.
