Doc - in this market it pays to ONLY sticks with those you have good experience in. Your SCTR may pay off for you, but if SCTR breaks $40, it will likely go to $41 1/2 and if it breaks that too, then it could break new high. I am setting a stop above $40 here although the chance is high it will be triggered tomorrow. Better lose a hat than the underwear. Drillers - the only possible good news for tomorrow is the API number. Therefore, I think there is a 50:50 shot a technical rebound may occur tomorrow. However, one can learn pretty quickly after open if it is going to be the day or not. If after open they tank another 3-5% immediately and an hour later they begin to retrace the lost ground and more, then it would be a good short term play on the long side. If it does the slow death after open by slowing moving ever lower, then the bet is off. If a bounce occurs, I think 10% can be had.

Doc - I took a sizable loss on SCTR today. I'm not going to ever touch this damn tower co again. The driller rebound scenario materialized today. FGII gapped down at the open and I already traded it for $1 in profit today. Could have sold too early but this is the way to protect capital. Anyway, I rechanneled the money to buy VRC at $17 midday when VRC was a relative laggard. So far VRC has huge volume but not much upside move yet. If the drillers can close on a high note today, I would expect a gap up. I will sell at the open tomorrow if that happens.
