I2,

One reason Bob gives for discouraging trading is that too many people expect overnight profits from his advice. Nothing seems to peeve him more than the attitude of impatience. Any successful trader must have the fortitude to watch paper losses mount even though he knows he is right. The general public cannot be expected to understand this and therefore the only way to counsel them is to be conservative.

But Bob does trade himself therefore he implicitly testifies to its effectiveness -- for the well seasoned pro, at least.

I do wish that Bob would make it a regular part of his program to clue traders in on what stocks he is trading. It seems to me that he could do this in a way that protects the uninitiated while giving useful tidbits to the more advanced. Actually, if you listen to Bob enough you usually have a pretty good idea what stocks he is trading but you have to listen to everything he says. I just wish he would be a little more direct about it.
