Thank you for the correction, John. Understating things is a bad habit of mine. The site itself is therapeutic in the way you describe. I don't mind the occasional kook&#151I think we're all that way sometimes. I know I am. The degree of looniness is my question, though. Whereas one might have a bad day and call you "A TOTAL FREAKING IDIOT", I don't find it acceptable to say out of the blue, "I know you went to prison for child molestation and stock fraud," without having any evidence. BTW, child molestation and stock fraud seems like an interesting mix. Just to check my thinking on the matter, I wanted to see if degree of infraction was important to others. Regarding SI: it's a four-person operation managing a site with over 30,000 active members. That's gotta be tough&#151I'll cut them some slack. On amateur, two-bit, penny stock promoting thieves: Amen! I think you are right that some people really are antisocial morons who have no social skills and are truly obnoxious. But IMO, far worse are those who obviously get their kicks out of simply being trouble-makers or mischief-makers. Linda Tripp quickly comes to my mind in that regard. From all I've read, she seems to have been the quintessential mischief-maker, right in the middle of things, who did nothing but cause trouble for all concerned. Personally, I have zero tolerance for such people. Ice
