In a steady state situation--after the drug has fully penetrated the market--the "3 or 4 times" scenario is quite plausible.

However, the uptake rate would be different and, in Viagra's case, the numbers may be clouded by other issues such as socio/political factors, illicit vendors etc.

PS: Also, the number applies to unit sales, thus currency exchange would play a significant role.
