<<< Quick question is S.I. worth $200 lifetime?>>>
If reading Kemble's posts keeps you from selling even one or two shares of Dell you will be way ahead money wise.
Various hazards are: Videoitus, diarrhea of the keyboard,
carpal tunnel syndrome, and contemplation of possible sale of kids or wife to buy Dell stock.

>>"Is SI worth $200 lifetime?"<<

Heck, yeah, with all the discussions here at SI, I have made a lot of money. The $200 expense is way down in the noise level.

I have to say that I got into SI when it was free.

CH,

I paid $125 for membership 1/17/98. Advice from SI has 'papered' me with over $50K so far this year. ( that's $50K more than I would have made had I stayed with my other portfolio, which was MSFT, and that ain't no slouch! ) $200? You-bet!

Regards,

Ken

SI fee worth it!

Craig, Perhaps I shouldn't contribute, since I got in the 'free' door. But in retrospect, if I had to pay a fee, although I would gripe, the bottom line is: in a heartbeat!

Primarily due to some of the knowledge collected on this thread (and some others as well), I've been very fortunate indeed in exceeding my investment goals.

I owe the long time posters here a debt I can never adequately repay: for sharing their knowledge; for patience above and beyond; for advice and warning; and for their friendship.

I sincerely doubt that you will find a single long-term poster on this thread whose annual investment return doesn't beat the socks off of the most highly touted analysts or fund managers.

However, there are many other threads and many other VERY knowledgeable posters who are willing to help newbies get oriented.

The third or fourth best thing about SI is that there is a code of conduct which is expected of us. I once visited a different DELL forum, and was so turned off by the language used, that I've never been back.

Regards, 3.

S.I. worth $200 lifetime?

It's worth $2000+ If there is any news about any stock a SI person will find it and post it here immediately. The $200 discourages the Yahoo type post that waste your time and attracts intelligent posters that can provide thoughtful post that can aide your due diligence. Where else can you get this kind of investing information?
