Fair enough Elmer.

It might very well have been a mistake for AMD to have taken on Intel. Time will tell. The one thing I am fairly confident of though is that Intel is going to have competitors at some point in time. It is somewhat simplistic analogy, but at one point in time Ford had an overwhelming market share and the costs of setting up factories and designing autos to compete with them had to be considered astronomical in their day.

AMD certainly is risky, but based on what you are saying you must think AMD might be very profitable at some point in time.

Elmer,

RE:The reason I am so resentful of AMD's management is because AMD could have been a profitable company for many years were it not for the vendetta Jerry has for Intel.

I agree Jerry has made a mess of this company and it is past time for him to go. Jerry's best attribute is his salesman ship but his greed is bleeding this company dry. IMHO AMD could of competed and been profitable in cpu's if managed correctly but Jerry's vendetta has always gotten in the way.
