Super Job. The European certification is EC not CE and it stands for "European Certification". It is virtually impossible to sell any kind of an electrical appliance in Europe without it. The information looks very good for the second half of the year and into next. However, I have to give one last blast and then I'll shut up (maybe). In early 1997, I wrote an extensive argument to the CEO saying that HeartScan could not work (no insurance coverage, no revenue)and a lot of other stuff about the pitifully low success rate and dangers of "retail" marketing by big retailers, AND that HeartScan competes against scanner sales. Why would a hospital pop 2 mill for a scanner if HeartScan could move in across the street and capture the revenue. He disagreed. Now, 15 million in losses later, Imatron says HeartScan competes against scanner sales. This is what burns me up about the institution of management. It doesn't matter how right you are, how smart you are, or how good your ideas are. If they didn't think of it, they ignore it. My little crack about the $1000 an hour for ideas meant that if I could sell one good idea for a grand, I could sell a hundred bad ones because that one sale gives me credentials. They never look at the idea, only the messenger, the sales pitch. If Imatron would have listened to me, we would be way in the plus column with a stock price of 4 to 5 bucks a share. As far as your witness impression is concerned, all high ranking corporate executives are excellent actors. That's how they got to be where they are. They know how to promote themselves within a political organization. It's about selling and the product they sell is themselves. I'm sure a lot of people have the ability to make decisions that lose 20 million a year. Happens every day. OK,I'm through pouting.
