Yes, it was a major acquisition. Ipsilon had revolutionized the way IP packets are delivered via ATM. Screaming fast.

I'm glad that NOKA bought them because, peons, like us would never have been able to buy the IPO before it reached 50.

Cabletron had a minority stake in Ipsilon as well as Digital. I'm not sure if Compaq bought that part of the business from Digital.
