Starpopper,

It would take $12 or less for me to go long on AMD again. I didn't make any money on buying put or shorting AMD. Actually I made money on AMD by going long. All my stock purchased in AMD were in late July or early August 1996. I sold 1/2 my shares last June and have been holding every since. I decided last year that there were better fish to fry than AMD but it was worth the gamble to hold on to AMD. I would not short AMD at this point because the stock it already so low that it doesn't have a whole lot more to fall. My point was that there are many ways to make money on a stock lets not get personal about our investments but lets help all of us succeed by contributing useful information not garbage posts.

I posted earlier last week when IMHO AMD's stock will rise again. I just may pony up some of those profits if the stock falls near that $12 price again.
