Bill,

I buy thousands of computers each year in my profession. Our support staff and users have their choice of DELLs or IBMs. Folks around here choose the DELLs 8 to 1 over the IBMs. Bids from Compaq, Gateway and others are not taken seriously due to the support and repair problems we have had in the past.

IBM portables used to be the primary choice, but DELLs are now the leader in that area as well.

I agree that DELL is not a good short, especially in the long run. Their product and support are tops in the industry.

I have no position in DELL.
