I was wondering if you might have a link to that news for our information?
TIA, Wallace

Mike, I think that the SEC is looking into posters that deliberately mislead (something like lying about a stock position or trying to drive down a stock price so that they can cover shorts or bottom fish). I think that the use of multiple handles which talk to each other to spread rumors or enhance credibility, are also areas that SEC looks into.

What's most interesting is the cyber trail that some of these posters leave. They think that their handles offers anonymity so they can post anything and they are very wrong. Those "cookies" provide a very traceable trail. About the only thing that the misleaders can claim is that someone else was using their computer, which is a hard argument to make when they posts day after day using pseudoname after pseudoname.

Courtney and r. Peter dale are long gone, but the SEC is just beginning to look a little harder at the manipulators. (I heard that they were starting in NJ :-))

>I saw on the news the SEC is investigating those getting inside info
>and those posting misleading info which causes stocks to
>move so they can profit.

Ah! That would explain why henry's 'knowledgeable sources' have turned into 'public info' -- Thanks.

FYI, The so called naysayers ( I prefer the truth seekers) have never lambasted LGND, never said their science is worthless, etc. Us truth detectors have only taken certain idividuals to task for lack of clarification. The SEC can come knocking on my door but they will come up as empty as Monica did in the oral office!

RevMikeB, I've been posting on LGND since 1992 and my long position and relationship with the company (all posts are my own and my only relationship is their rights to some of my patents, although I was the scientific founder of their parent company, Progenx, in 1987) are well known.
