Dog,

Since when have CPQ employee statements been confirmation of anything true? You must think people are really dumb.

IMO, CPQ is blowing more smoke than the tobacco companies.

Rudedog, have you heard anything in regards to the high end pc price starting to drop? Think there is a story in the WSJ.

Rudy, those gross profit comments are awfully difficult for me to believe without seeing some numbers. And remember, profit is an illusion created by accountants. It is easily manipulated depending on depreciation rates, what is capitalized etc. In addition, companies routinely use different accounting standards internally than externally. Maybe I am an eternal skeptic, but show me the numbers and tell me their bases before I will believe them.

And I haven't forgotten Mason's famous all is well comment seven months ago. So Compaq still has a credibility problem with me.

TTFN,
CTC
