It is not that simple and there is no way to know what happened, for sure. Having said that, normally if there are several big blocks on a high volume day it is a sign of accumulation or distribution. You can usually assume that if this happens near highs it is a sign of distribution, if near lows accumulation. If it is isolated, it could be as you said or a brokered deal where one person who has large position wants out and another buys a large block. It is harder to assess the significance of this type of trade.
