I've been long on Oracle since before the 3:2 split.

Oracle's stock value seems to have had fairly steady growth (around 40% per year!) up until late '97 .. but where is it going now? What is their market share currently and projected into the next fiscal year? Is there the same fire in this stock that there used to be? I see news all over the place but the stock has continued to wallow until just recently - it doesn't really seem to have the market's backing. Any idea why not?

I'm looking to free up cash in my portfolio to pursue some more attractive investments if I can. If Oracle continues to climb I will hold on to it as I have in the past, but if it doesn't show promise I'm moving on.

Again, I'm just giving you my impression of things. Can someone clue me in as to the current situation surrounding this stock?

Thanks ..
