When will people learn from history? Amazon is no different than the fallen angels like Sunbeam and Cendant. The same people promomting those names are now playing Amazon with no regards to fundamentals. Once again, someone will be left holding the bag just like Sunbeam and Cendant. It will happen here because there are no realistic fundamental projections that will support this kind of price. According to some study 80% of the buyers of stocks are new and within the last 2 years. This tells me that there is tremendous inexperience amongst investors in the marketplace. Another perfect parallel with AMZN is Home Shopping Network about 10 years ago. Home Shopping was touted as the next new medium that will replace Walmart and Kmart. Well, that didn't quite happen. HSN stock price declined over time and has NEVER met its expectation. The Amazon story is no different.
