Haven't several resellers met or exceeded expectations this quarter? Considering that the vast majority of compaq's business hardware moves through resellers, I would take that as a good sign. The pricing pressure on chipmakers is probably partially attributable to lower prices for pc's. If the earnings are bad, i'll probably go short for a while, and pick up those Jan calls i've been eyeing for the past month. This stock is in need of a breather.

Let's say CPQ reports n earning of $0.03, and $0.6 next quarter, where do you think the stock will fly to in Nov. of 1998 and 1999 ?
