Jim Bond and Lou Dilman founded Lansco back in 1977. They started in the Oil business and actually Bomax still apparently has a very small amount of income from this part of the company's history.

Jim and Lou were quite involved with a host of their other companies and so when they were approached by the fellows representing the anti-counterfeiting product they decided to work a deal where that would become Lansco's "project of merit". The group and the technology originally heralded from the University of Jerusalem, Israel. To make a long story short, the group ran into some problems, after having had the $7 million that Jim and Lou raised evaporate and that was that. Jim and Lou had remained on the board but were not involved in the management. After having gotten themselves into hot water the group was actually prepared to let the company fold altogether, Jim then got back into the fray and arranged to buy them out and save the company. The process included a 10 for 1 rollback and the obligatory name change, which is where Bomax got started.

Now we are back to Oil.

Salut,
